Apologies: I used to put prices as a service for those who wanted to know, but I no longer do it. ^__^

I've been using Shu Uemura White Recovery Ex+ Instant Spot Brightener - Brightening Treatment since early this year and found it outperforms every spot lightening treatment product I've tried thus far.

It's lightly tinted and can be used to cover up scars or dark spots under make-up but at the same time is a treatment product that lightens the dark spots as you use it. I find that my dark freckles and scars are lightened significantly and quickly within a week. It's a pricey product but since it works, I highly recommend it if you find you want something effective to deal with dark freckles or scars. According to Shu Uemura:
  • prune extract : helps to clarify skin
  • sakura leaf extract : helps to improve skin texture and soothe the skin
  • vitamin c derivative : reduces melanin production. 24-hour release of vitamin c
